Ramona Mazzeo, M.D.
Dr. Ramona Mazzeo, MD has worked at Binghamton University for over 10 years. Her education includes undergraduate studies at Cornell University, Medical school at SUNY Buffalo, Psychiatric Residency at UMass and the University of Rochester. She is a Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. In addition to work at BU she hasworked in the psychiatric emergency department, inpatient adult and child psychiatric units, an outpatient adolescent clinic, a substance abuse detox unit, and psychiatric long term care settings. At BU she serves as the attending for Medical Residents on their Behavioral Health and Psychiatry rotations. In addition, she is a guest lecturer for medical residents, BU undergraduate and graduate student classes, and the EAP. The challenges of the transition to college life and collaborative work of the University setting make for an engaging, vibrant and unique setting to practice Psychiatry. Dr. Mazzeo believes interventions can make a big difference at this time in a students’ development and look forward to seeing the students.
